Make a Clean and Simple Fall Layout

Make a Clean and Simple Fall Layout
by Susie Bentz | Rinea
Hello! Susie here to share a clean and simple layout.
I had a picture that I wanted to feature on a scrapbook page all by itself so I ordered a 5"x7" print. The picture had a lot of colors but I wanted to really focus on the reddish-orange of the leaf. I started with a layout that was basically black and white and then set about adding "pops" of color.

I created a background by stamping leaves on watercolor paper with black ink. Using red, yellow, and orange inks, I colored a few of the leaves and added some fun spatter!

I stamped a sentiment and matted it with black cardstock. The next layer was a thin border of Marigold Starstruck followed by a thin border of Ruby Starstruck.

Since almost everything else is black and white the tiny borders really help the sentiment "pop" off the page!

Next, I die cut Ruby Starstruck Foiled Paper to create a very simple, one-word title and added it to the bottom of the page. The vibrant color and sharp contrast is very dramatic and grabs the eye.

I also added 2 tiny hearts that were die cut from Ruby Glossy Foiled Paper. Each of these vibrant accents emphasizes the colors I wanted to highlight in the photograph. Job done, thanks to Rinea Foiled Paper!
