Shaker Card by Janet

Shaker Card by Janet | Rinea
This is Janet from Try it - Like it - Create it, and I am sharing a video tutorial for making a shaker card using Rinea foiled paper.

This is my first shaker card, I think I might be hooked. I love the variety of textures and activity with the card. Using the card kit was easy and I liked being able to cut my own shape rather them buying a kit that had it's shape already determined.
Materials:
  • Rinea foiled paper  (Jade/Gold Glossy Solid)
  • cardstock (lt lt blue, white)
  • shaker kit (Michaels)
  • alcohol ink flowers
  • flower die, leaf die
  • scissors
  • Glue Dots - craft
  • dot embellishments
  • adhesive
  • glitter

Here is a close-up of the flowers, take a look at the texture. You can also see the Rinea foiled paper leaves and that they also have some depth to them since I didn't fully adhere them to the cardstock.
Here is how I made the flowers and the surface they were made from. [flowers]

You can see the inside detail of the fourth flower in this image. I think adding these special touches make handcrafted cards just that much more special.
This was a really fun card to make and I just love how it turned out. Let me know if the comments what is your favorite part of this shaker card.
