How To Make Koi Origami Fish Using Rinea Foiled Paper by Roni Johnson
Hello Friends! Today I wanted to share how to make these lovely little Koi fish with you. Earlier this month I shared a few videos on how to make different origami whales. Well I had so much fun I thought it would be nifty to share a few more aquatic inspired origami pieces.
Here is the link to a quick and easy video showing how to make these Koi:
The large fish above was made using a 4x6" piece of Marigold/Marigold Starstruck Foiled Paper. The finished Koi fish measures 2.5" wide by approximately 4.5" long.
You can vary the size of your finished Koi fish by keeping the same ratio - 4x6, 2x3, 1x1.5" or even getting larger using 6x8, 8x10, etc.
The two smaller fish were made using the following specifications - theCopper/Copper Starstruck Koi was constructed from a 2 x3" piece of foiled paper. To create a slightly larger Koi fish I used a 2.5" x 3.5" piece of Jade/Jade Starstruck foiled paper.
These lovely fish are easy to create and would make wonderful decorations for poolside parties, mobiles, gift toppers and so much more. You could even create your very own virtual Koi pond in your home.
