Mixed Media Baby Card with Rinea and Joy Clair Stamps by Susie Bentz
Hello! Susie here today with a couple of mixed media baby cards.
They came together really fast, pairing die cut Rinea foiled paper with the perfect sentiments from Joy Clair Designs!
I like my cards Clean And Simple (CAS), but that doesn't mean they need to be boring.
Every card needs a little "Wow!" factor, right? So easy to accomplish with Rinea foiled paper!
I die cut the baby hands and feet from Turquoise/Gold Glossy foiled paper and set them aside.
In addition to the cute images, the New Baby stamp set from Joy Clair Designs includes some great sentiments.
I created the simple mixed media backgrounds with Dina Wakley's Gloss Sprays before adding the sentiment and applying clear embossing powder. Heat embossing the delicate script of the sentiment really helps it "pop" off of the background. I inked the edges of the front panel and adhered it to a white cardstock base.
The die cut handprints are perfect focal points!
I used a stamp platform to decide upon the placement of the die cuts and sentiments for both of today's cards.
I followed the same process with the second card: mixed media background, stamped sentiment, heat embossing...
...and then adding the die cut focal points.
