How To Make A Butterfly Mandala Home Decor by Monika Graefling-Gladysiak
Hello everyone! I hope you have a wonderful day. It's Monika today creating a Butterfly Mandala Home Decor.
We are going to use Rinea foiled papers: Lavender, Sapphire, Turquoise, Jade, Gold, Marigold, Blush, Fuchsia, Violet, butterfly cutting dies in different sizes, 10x10 inches canvas, a ruler, an eraser, a compass, liquid glue, black acrylic paint, paintbrush and a pokey tool.
Step 1:
Use Lavender, Sapphire, Turquoise, Jade, Gold, Marigold, Blush, Fuchsia to die cut butterflies in 6 sizes, use Violet to die cut the biggest butterfly.
Step 2:
Paint the canvas black using acrylic paint. When the paint is dry, use a lone ruler and draw diagonal lines starting in the corners, then find 5 inches point and draw one horizontal line and one vertical line, they have go go through the middle point of the canvas. Use compass, put it in the middle and draw a few circles in different sizes, that will be our guide to attach the butterflies on the same lines. I also drew curves at the top to make the composition more interesting.
Step 3:
Start attaching butterflies starting from the smallest circle and use the same size butterflies in all the colours, then move on to the next butterfly and use the guide lines you created (the circles) and attach the butterflies in all the colours. Repeat the step until you run out of butterflies. Then, use Violet butterfly and adhere it in the middle.
Step 4:
Use an eraser to get rid of pencil lines, use a pokey tool to shape all the wings and hang your Butterfly Mandala Home Decor on a wall.
Step 5:
Admire your beautiful creation.
Happy crafting!
