Create a Fun Floral Straw Poppy Frame for Mother's Day by Roni

Create a Fun Floral Straw Poppy Frame for Mother's Day by Roni | Rinea
Mother's Day is quickly approaching and I have a fun frame project using Rinea's Floral Foiled Paper Variety Pack and paper straws that will knock her socks off.
Let's begin...
Step 1 - Cut the foiled paper 1" x Length of the straw.
Step 2 - Run the foiled strips through a Xyron (or use your favorite adhesive).
Step 3 - Place a straw on the adhesive foiled paper and roll the foiled paper around the straw. Repeat with each straw*.
*Note - the number of straws needed will vary depending on the size and shape of the frame you choose to use.
Step 4 - Cut each straw into varying lengths.
Step 5 - Paint frame with one or two coats of paint. This doesn't have to be perfect, just in case a bit of the frame shows between the straws.
Step 6 - Use hot glue gun and adhere the foiled straw pieces to the frame in alternating pattern or randomly.
Step 7 - Continue gluing the foiled straw pieces until the entire frame has been covered.
Step 8 - Embellish with desired die-cuts. For this example I used foliage, flowers and butterflies from Spellbinders.
(that's my grandma who will be 97 in October!)
All that's left to do is pop in your favorite photo and enjoy!
